● Check for correct voltage (±10%) and electrical connections

● Check the pressure switch and/or relay operation
● Check the motor for a short/failure – Replace motor
● Check for debris clogging or restricting the inlet strainer
● Check for any restriction in the inlet/outlet tubes (kinked or collapsed)
● Check for debris in the pump inlet or inlet plumbing
● Check for any suction air leaking in from the inlet caused by a broken port, broken hose, loose hose clamp, or low liquid level keeping the pump from priming
● Check for any valve failure such as debris or cracked valves
● Check for any air trapped in the outlet line or pump head
● Check for correct voltage to pump (supply voltage +/- 10%)
● Check for debris in the pump inlet/outlet valves Check the pressure switch operations/adjustments
● Check for any fluid leaks keeping the pump from building pressure and shutting off
● Check for any loose screws at switch or pump head – Tighten the screws using a T25 torques screw
● Check that the switch diaphragm has not ruptured or is pinched – Fluid will be leaking from the pressure switch housing on the face of the pump. Remco recommends replacing pressure switch assembly
● Check for a punctured diaphragm if fluid is present between electric motor and pump head
● Check for a cracked pump face caused by water hammer. Remco recommends replacing housing immediately
● Pump cycling is limited to on-demand pumps with a pressure switch. Cycling, or rapid cycling, is caused by a system restriction that is making your Remco pump operate at or above its preset shut-off pressure. You will notice your Remco pump operating with an audible pulsing and/or notice your pressure gauge bouncing up and down with pump pulsations. IF YOU NOTICE CYCLING, OR RAPID CYCLING, IMMEDIATELY DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING. IF YOU DON’T ELIMINATE CYCLING YOU COULD HAVE PREMATURE PRESSURE SWITCH FAILURE. Your Remco pump should always run smoothly at a constant pressure and immediately shut off when there is no further demand for liquid.
● On a Sprayer, be sure your nozzles are properly sized, or if you have an adjustable nozzle on a spray wand for example, adjust the nozzle tip until cycling stops.
● On many sprayers there is a bypass or agitation line with an adjustable valve. Open that valve slowly until cycling stops. (Note: sprayer bypass or agitation line might have to be set differently when using different section of a sprayer i.e. Spray Boom or Spray wand.)
● Remco pump pressure switches are adjustable, except for Aquajet, variable speed, or Dual control pumps. DO NOT EXCEED 3 FULL TURNS. Adjusting pressure switch setting will cause higher shut off pressure, increasing the potential for leaks and pump wear.

● Yes, Remco’s ProFlo® pumps can handle bleach or Sodium Hypochlorite, however, it can reduce elastomers life.
● If using bleach, be sure to flush your pump and system with clean water after each day’s use (1-2 full tanks of clean water can extend pump life by years)
● Be sure to dilute the bleach to no more than 12% concentration for maximum life
● To avoid down time in the field, Remco recommends replacing the valves/valve housing every 12 months for all pumps being used in applications with Bleach/Disinfectants/Sodium Hypochlorite

● Yes, Remco’s Extreme Duty pumps are compatible to pump diesel. Our GeoLast diaphragm and valve combination available in the Extreme Duty pumps will work in this application.

● Warning! If water is not drained from the freshwater system during freezing temperatures, damage to the pump and plumbing system is likely
● Drain the fresh water holding tank.
● Chlorine or antifreeze will deteriorate the parts. Always rinse the pumps with fresh water to help prolong the life of the pump components.
● Open all faucets and run the pump to expel all the water in the plumbing system.
● Disconnect the inlet and outlet plumbing from the pump and run the pump for a minute to remove residual water from the pump
● Leave plumbing disconnected from the pump until ready to use the plumbing system
● To winterize, drain all water from the system. Blow the system out with low air pressure or add potable water anti-freeze. Warning! Never use automotive antifreeze. Death or severe injury can occur.
● Check air pressure, add or remove air as necessary
● Internal diaphragm is torn or has a hole in it, replace accumulator.
● Air Valve loose, Screws loose, internal diaphragm is torn or has a hole in it, replace accumulator
● Check to be sure fitting connections are tight.
● Check air pressure with pump off and one or more faucets open (no water in system) and adjust pressure as needed. If the accumulator leaks water from the air valve or does not hold pressure, unit must be replaced. Note: There are no replacement parts or kits for this accumulator. If it is not working, it must be removed or replaced.

● Measure voltage across whisker switch when open and then closed

● Use ohm meter to check transducer wire continuity

● All WTS units are meant for use with fresh water only. Introducing chemicals to these units will harm elastomers
● To prevent freezing, run pump dry for 30 seconds after each use to remove residual water
● The 50-mesh inlet filter screen inside the Water Transfer Kit case should be removed and cleaned on a regular basis
